Curious if anyone has been tying/fishing New England style streamers. There is a dizzying array of patterns- where to start?

Haven't heard about these streamers. Is there a site to see some patterns or find out some info?

These flies are fun to tie. Most noteable tier of our time was Carrie Stevens. Her flies are world famous and if you ever find one don't sell it. There is a book out with her patterns can't recall the name of it. I'll source it out for you.

The book you're looking for is
"Carrie Stevens Maker of Rangeley Favorite Trout & Salmon Flies" (Graydon R. Hilyard & Leslie K. Hilyard)
There is a trick to tying her feather wing streamers in that the feather wing, shoulder and cheek are joined together with glue as a separate unit before tying on as a complete wing. Also if you want to be true to the original patterns a red band should be tied as part of the head.
Also many of her patterns, particularly the tandem streamers were intended to be used as trolling streamers.

Ty for the info Bill:)- having tried a couple - gluing the wing/shoulder/cheek beforehand certainly makes a lot of sense:))))) I'll probably skip on the tandems and just scale down the single hook patterns . I really want to try a couple of patterns in the deep pools on the Pine and on a trip to the Cypress Hills streams this summer

Glad to help Cane
BTY when you speak of the Graveyard, are you referring to the section east of the highway? I always seem to bushwhack in the upper sections when I'm fishing the Pine.

I call the first bridge you come to heading west on the Beaver Lake-Duck Mtn road(PR271) after turning off Hwy 10- the Graveyard Bridge( theres a graveyard just before the bridge). T
