What do you guys use for weedguards? If any of you use wire, what kind and where do you get it?

I dont use weed guards (I think it makes them semi-fishless) But i have found a great material for it..... used classical guitar strings which also makes a good translucent v-rib/laral lace replacement...

You can use 20-30 lb. mono for a wed guard or wire. If you are smart purchase some Eagle Claw weedless frog hooks and tie flies on those. Easy to tie on and quite a few sizes to choose from. They are in the store below the packaged single hooks.

Stu,
What kind of wire is best for a weedguard? Using the weedless bait hooks is a good idea... Thanks!

Another solution is to tye your flies clouser style which means upside down. Even hooks with weed guards hang up from time to time and I think impede hookability of fish so I don't like to bother with them.
