found a better way to make these using foam. the one on the left turned out the best, i bend the needle a bit to give the tail more of a curve. i gotta take better pics

Does look real buggy and I’m sure would work good! I made a foam body pattern my friend in the UK has success with.I’ll post a picture latter. keep up the good work !

very nice i love the wings. the fella whose vid i watched with the foam bodies does wings like that, i forget but i think they are made with a mallard flank?
