Pike fly with a double hook stinger. Here's a vid link for a better look! Oh just learned that I need to close my music before downloading vids...infringement laws!

I ordered myself a 10 weight rod ( I got the reel) for next year. thanks Bud!

These big flies take so much time and material ($$$) to tie, you sure want them to last for a few fish. Tying well with lots of glue should help them to hold up for a few fish.

I can’t see me tossing this fly unless I get the opportunity to get some Muskie maybe. Think I’m just going threw some withdrawals not fishing in Florida. Just getting out of the box and trying colours and flash combinations. Actually the super glue would be the biggest expense.

What hair are you using ? Deer hair for the body and I believe the tail is long goat hair.

Some really nice ties boys. My favorite tie of an articulated pike fly was the Delivery Man by Andreas Andersson from Kanal Gratis. Check out the you tube video for tying up this fly. Lots of glue. Lots of time. Beautiful and effective Pike fly.

Rick, I suggest tying some of those Pike flies with a weedless loop so you can work them through the stumps and weeds out there. It's a good option to have available.
