Very nice. It'll be fun catching with that one. Thanks Lockport, I did tie a few. It should have good movement in the water but I’m thinking it would do better in Florida then here. I kinda stick to the buggers, leach and muddler around here.

I kinda hate using nice looking flies like this when they'll get shredded-up in short order. My preference is to use quick and cheap "guide flies" (which just means good and cheap, LOL) most of the time, but I have more fun tying the nicer looking and more detailed ones.

Exactly...but I also don’t have patience to experiment with diff flies. That’s why I have no experience with chironomids and emergers.

Been fishing chironomids for over 40 years. You should try. They're perhaps the easiest fly to tie.Quite often,in the spring. You'll boat more fish than ,you have ever caught.Simple Blk Thread body, wit a red wire rib .Or a body of silver mylar tinsel, with small red wire. After being laid up for 3 years .I can hardly wait for spring in the P/Lands.Virtually thousands of you tube videos on how to tie chironomids.Rowley,Chan have numerous step x step shows...tight lines & sinking corkies Merry Christmas & Happier New Year 2021 see you in june
