(No, not those Hallowe'en spirits)
Pretty soon the ice will be on and I can only dream of getting out on the water again. Hope to have a bit of fun with this thread that's in a bit of an offshoot from fly tying.
For those that enjoy some quiet time tying, and for those that like imbibe - what is everyone drinking? On these threads I read about those liking their cigars (a nice cohiba Ciglo IV for me) and scotch (or a sweet bourbon for me).
So what cigar/drink do you pair with fly tying?

Reminds me of an old fly tying joke (that I am sure is copped from some other pastime)
"Do you ever get up from a night of fly tying and think'$#!t I'm drunk!'"
I am well past just being 'into' single malt scotches.
I am currently on a mission (some might say bender) to discover every Scottish distillery we can here in Manitoba. On top of that, I am exploring Irish whiskies, Japanese Whiskies as well as bourbons.
Despite appearances, I do not drink a lot or often so this is taking quite a while.
Cigars are not allowed in the house but when on a boat I like the Dominicans from Thomas Hinds

Got to say I do prefer beer as opposed to everything else (except maybe a really nice dark rum) So when I do sit to tie there will be a time when a dark ale or a stout hits the spot.
