is there anyone out there that sells dumbbell eye molds? can't seem to find anything on the net, nothing commercial anyway

I had researched this as well. When I checked, I only saw the custom made one that you likely saw. You might be better off approaching someone like Do It molds and asking them if they can prepare a custom mold for you, but that would likely make the activity too pricey.

it's kinda odd that nobody makes one. i cast my own round balls for my muzzle loader so i thought it would be a good idea to cast bumbbell eyes, having a mold custom made would make the ones you cast cost more than the ones you buy. i need a milling machine to make my own mold that would save money lol

so here's what i came up with. split shot crimped to 30lb test. i test tied it to a hook and it's solid. gonna tie up some crayfish and see how they work.

i think they are going to work. i tied my first crayfish, i used what i have on hand it's not great but not bad. i tested it in the sink it sinks to the bottom and sits in the defensive position. it looks pretty real in the water.
