Water is low enough to wade into the main channel so why not? I saw fly fisherman in there on Sunday.

Couple of them from MFFA went on Saturday. Fished spillway for a while and got 1 white bass. Water is to low overthere. Then they went by the locks and got 1 drumm. They said water is to high to wade in far enough. Seems the same as 3 weeks ago when I was there last time.

Seems like it gets to this point every year after the flood way expansion and Saskatchewan unloading so much water on us. Flood way too shallow to fish main channel to high to wade out

Thanks for the info, trying to decide if I want to go Wednesday evening, but the weather forecast may decide this for me. Cheers Ron.

Went out today to see how it was, and as expected fishing was rather terrible, nothing to show but none the less I enjoyed the time out. Floodway is at about fall water levels to where u can easily walk out to the island with rubber boots. Main channel water level was more then manageable with the water level on top of the shoals barely half way up to my knees. A few carp surfacing in the main channel but no point in going out till at least late August/early September imo
