Arrived at the floodway at ~8am. Waded onto the islands from the south shore with a cold east wind blowing for the majority of the morning. Wasn't long until the first drum took the fly. Hands were freezing but the drum kept hitting the fly so it was a pretty easy choice for me to keep fishing. Finally sun showed up and some warmer weather made my casting easier. Hooked up to my first cat this year measuring in at 36", put up quite the lengthy fight which had me thinking he was snagged but, all the cats today were fortunately fair hooked, expect probably one that I lost later in the day that got into my backing within the first minute and got off shortly after. Stayed until about 4pm and totaled about 3 dozen drum, likely more, and 5 cats. The 36", a 34", 33" and 2 smaller ones. 36" cat, thanks again Stephen for taking the pic and helping me out. 34" cat and finally the 33"

Dropped by the floodway yesterday late evening for about half hour of casting. One 31" carp for me. Lost a smaller one that was foul hooked.

Ah that is a great haul Petroh. Haven't had one of those days for a while - ie. multiple cats in one outing.
