Headed out to lockport today after work to have a second go at those catfish. Wade out to my spot and start casting. Within a few minutes pull out a nice sauger and gently release him back into the depths. Keep on casting and a few minutes later feel the line stop and a sharp tug. Snap the rod back, fish in! Battle my opponent for about 10 minutes before hauling it up to shore. A nice 83 cm channel cat, my first on the new fly rod. It was caught on my own hand tied fly as well so that was a bonus. Managed one more sauger after that before calling it an evening. Lots of carp surfacing everywhere, maybe give them a go tomorrow after work. Rockbass09

Unfortunately, can't post the pics because they're too big and won't fit apparently. Error occurred keeps popping up
