What a show ... the goldeye and sauger were out of luck today. Scratchie and Itchy were pounding the water pretty good, they just gobnled what we presented. No cats to be found (by anyone on the water tonight).
Nice storm rolled in and it was time to go (something about waving graphite around while standing in water during an electrical storm ... doesn't seem right.
Anyhow ... great outing ... oh yeah. Main channel (just like Stu said .... always listen to Stu). Clousers and DDH's

Hey bud you are giving me a big head!!!! The main river channel is the only place to fish this time of year. If you want to fish the floodway try on the north side by the weedbeds. Approx. 60 feet out there is a hole that drops down to about 15 feet. If you can cast out there then hang on. Lots of big fish with an occasional 26-30 inch Greenback.
