Purchased these two items in early July and I love them! Teton Reel LA- This isn't the worlds prettiest reel nor is it as light as a feather, but it probably has the best drags on the market. I bought this reel to replace my disk drag reel because in the late fall (Oct- Nov) they would freeze up. This fall the reel preformed awesome in the cold weather with no problem . Even when the reel was starting accumulate ice on the outside, did it preform nice. Tenton Reel and Air Flo 40 plus Air Flo 40 plus Sink tip- Got this same day I bought the Teton. If I can recall (dont have the box with me) The line is about 132 or 100 feet with a 32 foot shooting head. It had a big tapper and ridge tech design which allows for amazing distance. In a float tube I average about 70 feet and standing up I can easily cast to my backing Dislikes - Starting off the cast While only having 15 feet of line out past the last guide. My new toys for next Season! Got these Friday.

Nice.... Does that 4 weight have Pine River written all over it?
What kind of drag does the Teton have? Caliper like a Scientific Angler System 2? Offset disc? Cork disc?
Were you hunting E-bay for bargains? Careful, that can be damaging to the wallet and maybe even addictive. (Speaking from experience...)

The Teton uses a barrel drag with 5 brake surfaces.
Bought the 4wt just for the pine river. Thing I like about it, is it came with two tips if I break one.
I don't shop at ebay. I bought all these at Northern Angler. He gave me a good deal on everything.
Now to wait till April-May.

40+ is a great line, love it! Best line I've found for single hand spey casting, and its also great with switch rods. Turns over large flies and sink tips with ease.

That Ridgeline stuff is great, but I find it hard on the fingers after a whole day of casting and retrieving. By the end of the dy my thumb looks like I took a belt sander to it. And when a fish hits hard and you are in the middle of a retrieve, it BURNS really good. Still have the marks to show it.
