Through the years I have cast numerous types of rods. Sage, Loomis, Winston, St. Croix, TFO, Elk Horn, and so many others I can't remember the names. I have receieved a Streamside Tranquility 9' 6" 8 wt. rod and let me tell you guys this rod has them all beat. It is an IM8 graphite and it casts a country mile with very little effort. Can you imagine shooting a 60-80 foot cast in two false casts, this rod has the power to do it with very little effort. I used some unweighted streamers and some weighted with large lead eyes and there was absolutely no change in the casting capabilities of this rod. The cosmetics on the rod are beautiful and I am extremely excited about what they did to the reel seat. A double locking with a rubber washer in between the two locking rings. There is no way in the world that the reel could ever come loose. This is one heck of a rod. If anyone wants to cast it get ahold of me and we can go out and do some casting with it. I think everyone here would love it.
