Hey guys. Well I recently lost my Olympus camera. Ya, not fishing either. Lost it while shopping. Anyways, I managed to find a great deal on a replacement camera and I'm very pleased with the new cam! It performs very well and has some incredible macro! Have yet to take pics of fish though! Tomorrow I should be heading out and I'll get a chance to truly test it. Great looking camera. Those macros look impressive. By any chance did you compare it to the Canon D 10 as I'm also in the market for a new camera. Looking forward to more impressions with some big fish pics ;D

Well so far so good. The camera is performing well and keeping up with the travels. The photo quality is pretty decent although I have to say it's not as crisp as the Olympus I had. However it is fast and a lot easier to use. The soft flash feature helps to not wash out your macro shots and the autofocus light allows you to focus on your subject, even in complete darkness! Here's some example shots.

I'm thinking of a new waterproof camera. Nick, what Olympus model did you have?

Dale, I had the Tough-8000.
So far I'm pretty impressed with the Pentax and I would have to recommend it over the Olympus. Price and features are better. Performance is very similar although the images were a tad sharper with the Olympus.
