To get down a little deeper for the crappie at Minnewasta last night I was using a 5 weight sinking line (type 3) cut back to 30' and attached to some Amnesia running line with an Albright knot. The set-up worked really good - false cast to get the head out of the guides and then let fly. The rod was a 8'6" Stowaway from Cabelas and the reel was one of their older Prestige models. (The smallest available.)\
The only problem was that the Amnesia slid in between the spool and the reel frame fairly regularly. I guess it was a combination of thin line and the gap not being constructed to a really fine tolerance.
