I was out to the Lafarge pits by Reynold's Ponds for a swim today. The wild strawberries are at their peak and if you go in the next day or two, those little beauties are worth the effort. Just wander around the trails to the east of the pits, I imagine the eastern-most ponds by Reynolds are full fo them too, based on my recollections of plant sightings. Also for the nature nuts, right befor the pits (100-200 yds south on the east side) are a beautiful collection of Showy Lady Slipper orchids. I wish I had my camera and a bigger pail for the strawberries. Erika
