Unfortunately, most of my canoeing is...somewhat 'involved', and requires a canoe that can handle having the crap beat out of it.

James, I honestly don't know. I'm guessing around 70 lbs. Ken, I hear ya... That's exactly why I don't want to use it myself.

I am in the same "boat" as you guys... I go to some pretty hardcore spots and I fear that beauty wouldn't survive the trip. Secondly, at 70 lbs. I doubt I would be portaging that canoe in by myself. I need a light outfit like an aluminum or carbon fiber model. Its amazing how pricey canoes have gotten in the past few years.

Dale did you build this your self. Reason I am asking is that I am just in the process of restoring a similar canoe and am having a hard time sourcing the brass ribbon that protects the keel. Thanks Ken
