Howdy,
Rob can move this to the For Sale later, but I'm putting it here on the top board because there's a bit of a sense of urgency. The ad just appeared on the FAOL website @8:30 ... and it could go fast.
For sale is a custom assembled XP 390. This rod is bare bones no winding check or hook keeper. Rust colored wraps, chrome snakes guides, H&H stripper guide, 6.5" reversed half wells grip, Struble U-17 aluminum anodized gray color, uplocking reel seat with a cocabola wood insert. Rod has been used twice and is in excellent + condition. No rod tube, comes with a rod bag and will ship in PVC pipe. I am unable to provide pictures of the rod. Finish work is very high quality, 3 day inspection/ return, price includes priority, insured mail shipping. Price $190.00.
I think the 390 in the name means that it's a 9 ' 3-weight.
I've bought two rods from this man ... he said "used twice" ... they seemed brand new ... totally. He does gorgeous work.

Heck a Sage rod building kit would be $300!

Hey guys,
And you should see the work he did on the TiCr.!! I showed it to Chris at WS, and he seemed most impressed.
Another ffer in New Mexico is making tentative queries today ... so I just offered to buy it right now. I'll keep you posted.

Nope ... I should have bought it the second that I saw the post. Like I said, I knew it would go fast. I hesitated because I already have a 4-wt (that I bought from the same fellow) that I haven't even used.
Still ... a custom Sage XP for US$190 and no taxes ... damn, I shoulda acted!!
