I caught my first Goldeye on a fly this evening in the Red. Everytime I go out all I catch is channel cats, so I figured I would change my technique a little as I would like to see some walleye, goldeye, sauger, bass etc. So I waded in a little deeper and tied on a #10 mickey finn, false casted as much line as I could carry, did a couple of single hauls on the back cast and then a double hual, good long cast farther than my ussual. A goldeye must have been in center feild b/c he caught it as it was sinking . Nice little tug and a decent fight for a small fish.
