just the mobo socket 478 with out cpu around 2 gig takes cpu i bet rebuilder james knows has one ebay is very expensive.

Ebay can be overpiced, but it can be a find from time to time. For things like computer components, it is better to buy in Canada, only because the selection is still pretty good, and you don't have to pay duty et al. US shipments for PC components tend to be done by UPS or Fedex, with a 35$ processing fee for customs.
Coreys computing here in Winnipeg has always been good for me when it comes to new components. Syrotech has been good for used stuff. FYI.

BTW; get a battery backup system. Corey's has them for about $60, and should prevent this kind of issue in the future.
