Now that i can upload files i have a new problem.
While i can load the standard stuff (jpegs gifs etc) I want to load Mp3s. I can load them up but they won't play (wavs play fine but i don't like the quality and you can forget about mid files)

Hey;
Do you want to play them as part of an embedded item in a web page, or as background sounds for a web page? If so, this requires configuration of web browsers to support this. The supported formats for background audio on web pages are .wav and .mid (and .au, a Unix audio file format). Getting something like an MP3 to play could be tricky.
I can research a solution, but let me know if this is what you want to do.
Later.

naw once is enough but it would be nice if it didn't stop and start with everypage view.

Hey;
I was playing, and I came across a solution like this:
<embed src="Bodeans - Misery.mp3" height=45 width=200 controller=TRUE autoplay=TRUE loop=TRUE>
I created a dummy page, and it only prompted me to download a Microsoft codec.
If you wanted no playback interface to appear, use: <embed src="Bodeans - Misery.mp3" height=0 width=0 controller=false autoplay=TRUE loop=TRUE>
It might work, but it might be a bit of a crapshoot. This is getting into the murky, browser specific areas of the web. FYI.
BTW; all these are page specific, and will always stop and restart based on page. The only way around this is to create a new page, put it in the background (like a pop-under add) with the music in it.

Update. I tried it in Netsape, and it opened winamp to play the MP3 back. I tried it in Opera (another browser, the one I prefer), and it did nothing with it. It appears the embed option I mention above works best with Internet Explorer.

Could be that netscape is a little more friendly to non Microsoft preferrred codec,s. IE very much prefers to work with standard compression/codec,s like oh em .wav:))) Curious why anyone would use IE anyway? )))
