the Clandeboye Ponds are a reasonable place to practice casting but the water depth is lacking (deep places are about 8/9 feet) ......what is the likelyhood of fish
casting there over a week ago with kayak50 and he said his fish finder only noted one fish

fish finder only noted one fish thanks - I'll avoid wood tick heaven in that case. Last year - 15 minutes and too many ticks to count later, we left. Too bad though on the lack-of-stockings.

Both the 2002 (Quantity 1000)and 2003 (Quantity 500)provincial government stocking reports indicate rainbows being stocked in Clandeboye Ponds. I recall that there are 3 "ponds" but the stocking must refer to the most westerly as the other 2 don't appear deep enough to hold fish. Apparently these ponds used to be a popular destination for MFFA members, but not sure about now.

Yes my mistake
Listed as Clandeboyne pond (singler not plural) and found under "Interlake" and not east/southeast. (funny as Milner Ridge a stones throw away is)
It is stocked every year

ya but i guess the dividing line is being on the east or west side of Lake WPG it is about a 30 minute drive and on my map the only 2 trout ponds in the area.
People seem to say they have more luck at Milner Ridge than Calndeboyne
