Standard round tubes are difficult to propel from place to place. But, on the other hand, this works somewhat to your advantage when fishing because it is relatively easy to keep yourself where you want to be with your feet.
What about on a Fish Cat? While your hands are busy casting, is it still relatively easy to keep yourself in one place? Or are Fish Cats inherently "squirrely?"

I found that after a few years of only round tubes that it still only took a short time to adjust.
They are a little more prone to being broadsided by wind but the "V" shape cuts water better and sitting higher is a major benefit to ones casting.
I will not go back to a round tube ever.

I have used both and i much prefer the fish cat style. It may take a little getting use to but you will like that one much more.

Good to know.
I am looking at purchasing a tube. The one I was most interested in is the Trout Unlimited Togiak Float Tube followed by the Fish Cat 4.
Any comments on those selections!?
