Hi Robert,
Thanks for fixing-up that post. I'm tempted to drive down to Scheel's (after an advance phone call, naturally) in Grand Forks to score one of those Allbright rods. That was a pretty good review, by folks who seem to do a lot of fishing.
I'm still a real hacker when it comes to casting ... not pretty, but it gets the job done ... but it would be nice to have a good rod to match my recently upgraded 5/6 reel ... something else to paw-over during the winter months. What did you think of the article?

I was suprised that he liked the TFO Finess more than the tiCRx I have had the Finess (4wt) for most of last season and love it. But when I was A-B ing rods I really loved the Ti Cr (more than the X) It was also interesting to see T&T and Orvis near the bottom. But these are the rods they sell. (scroll to the bottom) www.yellowstoneangler.com/onlinestore/en-us/dept_1.htmlSo there might be a vested interest at work here ;D

Also the ones they sell rate 1,2 5, and 6
I am not saying the rods aren't good but up here without being able to touch these rods I would be a little leery. (unless they came with a good guarantee (like when you buy from Cabelas)
I can think of some folks who bought an lesser know rod that may or may not be a fine fishing machine but came with a limited warranty (2 or 5 years) in a time when everyone offers 25 - life full replacement warranties

Very interesting article... The magazine Flyfishing America (available for free in Cabela's in East Grand Forks) has had a couple similar articles in the past where they try to be quantative and objective. I always appreciate that kind of thing.(But, yeah, ya gotta always question the objectivity a little bit when the people doing the testing sell or advertise some of the rods involved..)
