I originally got one to put on my Loomis 4wt (model I)so I could move my Martin Classic onto my 2wt I thought in that class (price wise) it would be good enough to 'hold the line' as on a 7'6'' 4wt I wouldn't be using it on big reel testing fish. I found that is was solidly built and early in the season it handled this brute with ease. So I bought one for my 8wt (model III) and so far it has handled the pike and bass just fine Features - disc-drag with cork drag washer
- cast-aluminum frame
- mid arbor design yields plenty of backing capacity for battling
- long-running fish.
- molded, paddle-style handle
- large drag-adjustment knob that adjusts to a wider range of settings.
$50 USD (on sale now for $40) spare spools $25
