yup - this one again. I got this bug from reading up on Turtle Mountain / William Lake area. Looking at maps, options, activities . . . The water body that flows in/out at the south end of William L. - do you know if it is navagable in the summer - ie/ for a canoe ? or Is it just a mouse trickle that won't float a blade of grass. I is thinking - that - there's water back there - couple sizeable puddles - and if there's water ....... its worth a cast or 10, or 20 or ..........

Hi Darrel. The creek is not navigable. The water table is still down in the area and I would imagine what you see as small lakes on the trail to the Turtles Back would be just sloughs now. I don't think they ever held any fish that I know of. The hike up to the bsck is worth the trip though. It is the highest point of land in the Turtle Mountians and was used by the Natives to scout the area.
