Which river is this? I am not familiar with these spots as of yet. Is this the Whiteshell River Hatchery?

yup that was a tour the group did last year on the trout opener. As you can see the weather was more typical than this year.

Is the hatchery accessable from the PTH or do you have to hike in using the White Pine trail?

the best way is to park on the pad at the top of the hatchery driveway outside the barrier (they really don't like folks parking in the hatchery itself) walk back across the bridge and either fish your way from the bridge or walk a little further to the sign "Angler Access" and follow the short trail to the river. Take the White Pine Trail only if you think you need the exercise
