Well as i figured it is real quite dull around here but I knew that going in I am quite busy right now but in the new year maybe i will just sit on chat on a designated night and wait for visits. Anyhow for the heck of it here is my log from this season past. If you have one i will publish it to the web. My Fly Fishing log from 2003

dodging tumble weeds and dusting cob webs - but with an eery bit of ..... suspense. Can't say as I've been as busy about the home front since chasing whitetails through the bushes years ago. Haven't tied much more - need to pick up some materials. Nice log RB. I'll gather and fire it over - although it'll look like a midge in size comparatively. I see some patterns with mine, but, maybe with a few others, just might see some more. ;D

Hey Looks like you had a pretty good year Robert, you certainly tried many different locations. I was ice fishing the weekend after we were fly fishing on my pond, and the rainbows were biting pretty good, I am not sure why they were eluding us, you were probably right, and they were down deep, because surface temperatures would have been at zero, judging by the hardtop on the pond the next morning. I had a horrible experience on Sunday on a trail by Lyon's/McHugh, me and my buddy were stuck for 9 hours, and didn't even get to wet a line.... Make sure you guys all get away from the vice/ feathers and onto the frozen water a couple of times, eh. Aaron Wiebe

Well for me November and December are kinda fishing free. This month was spent (outside of "normal" life) on getting music ready for all the jobs i have in December. And December is the mpnth with all the gigs in it. I am also up for a music directors post at a large church in the southend of town. But don't forget the "FISHIN' HOLE'S" boxing day sale! It is (as far as I know) the only place in town with fly fishing/tying stuff. Usually a 10% discount an all (good for stocking up on materials on the tying front). But if you are still buying some or all your flies they usually have a better discount this day. And unlike every other store with 'boxing wek or month' sales this is one day only so if you get a gift certificate for Christmas from there (like my b-in-law is getting) then get there that day not the day after (like I did a few years back )

I may have seem to have dropped off the face of the planet, but I'm around. Some unexpected medical and dental issues in the family have really tied me up. We were talkig about a get together in my classroom some evening, but my life has become somewhat unpredictable. Things might clear up later in December or January for me (I hope). Rick L

I didn't think anyone had gone away but Nov and Dec tend to be busy for most and we are done fishing with the fly rod but can still remember what it feels like to have a fish on the end of our line. Come Feb and March I figure we'll be getting pretty antsy and we will be talkin' up a storm. And even though i almost always get skunked that first time(s) in April and no lakes will be thawed it will still be a topic of disscussion "where ya goin for the opener??" I figure i will be starting my tying in January.
