Thnx,
I've been to his website but there wasn't alot of information on where they fish. I may send him an email asking for some ideas on where to head come spring for some river trout.

His name is John Yury and in the four years that I've know him he's been very open with his info. I spend a fair amount of time up there as my two brothers and I have a house in the town of PineRiver any info that I've gleaned on the area I'll be glad to share. PineRiver and the Steeprock Rivers are the only ones that I've explored and there are some good spots and fish in them. Last couple of years I've spent playing around on the lakes in the Ducks and the ones that I've had the best success on are Gull,Shilladay and Glad lakes.Just started to fish East Blue a hard lake to fish but worth it as there are big fish in it.

Thnx for the info,
I plan on spending each weekend exploring new places to fish. I have 4 or 5 in my area alone (Cranberry Portage) and then I am looking at doing weekend camp/fishing trips into the Duck Mountains.
Never fails, soon as the snow falls the hand starts to twitch waiting for next season. At least it gives me plenty of time to organise the trip (most spent begging the wife for a LOA)

Hi
I,d have to echo that thought:) John is a great guy ,very open about locations and access and also has lots of hard to find tying supplies- dyes etc. There are not a lot of serious stream fishers around MB it seems but John has done a lot of exploration:))). He,s well worth talking too .
