Question, can someone give me some information on this rod I have or it’s application. Its a 2 piece 7 weight rod but it’s 10 feet long. I believe it’s hand made, wondering if the length would give me advantage on a float tube? I never had the chance of trying it out but thinking of bringing it home. Would appreciate any info you may have. tx Bob.

10’ rod should make casting from your tube a bit easier.

I have been using 10' rods for over 20 years.Back then ,when i was sold on the 10' need. The statement was ,the extra lenght allowed for increased, lack of contact .With the water on the backcast.

That would make perfect sense. The rod feels heavier than my 9 1/2 -6 weight, maybe because it’s older.
