Spent the second last weekend in June camped at Lake Bemidji State Park. Spent an afternoon on the Clearwater River. Landed 5 rainbows and must have had another 10 strikes. I was using a small streamer and they were all pretty visual. The Clearwater River is a great little stream. In some parts, it is kind of like a spring creek going through a meadow - with fantastic undercuts on outside bends. In other parts, it is grown over and bushy - bring your bow-n-arrow casts. Naturally, the trout are alll stockers but still a hoot. Here are a couple websites: files.dnr.state.mn.us/areas/fisheries/bemidji/clearwater_trout.pdfmntu.org/trout-fishing-the-headwaters/
