It's been a long winter. I finally decided to pull out the switch rod and work the winter rust out of my cast. Calm cloudy morning with the temperature around -3 C. Looked like I was going to have company this morning. My first two casts were abominations. Then things started to roll. Well what do we have here Sluggish fight but still exciting. Definitely overgunned with the 8 wt. switch rod. Here's another nice northern. Caught several more of these over the next two hours. Finally got tired of clearing this off and shut it down. Lots of Northerns but I couldn't get any walleyes to respond, and the walleyes are there. A great morning for sure . Trust everyone who went to Fairford had a wonderful time.
