Hi everyone. New forum member and very new fly fisherman. I got a Cabela’s Bighorn combo a couple weeks ago and am trying to learn how to do this fly fishing thing. I’m a 31 year old from a small town, and I like hunting, fishing, baseball and curling. I’m also kind of obsessed with brook trout and look forward to catching them on a fly. Thanks for letting me join, look forward to talking to the members.

Welcome. We have a very helpful and knowledgeable group here so if you have any questions ask away. In what area of the Province are you located?

Good place to get started is just a short drive from Neepawa-Anton's lake.

Or the Stony creek which is pretty much right by Neepawa, and Little Saskatchewan river by Minnedosa if you want some river fishing.

Thanks for the suggestions. I definitely plan on trying Antons this summer, my brother is even moving there in July. I have a long history with Stony Creek that starts off with a honey hole behind a beaver dam, then that beaver dam washed out and the rest of my history has been trying to find a new honey hole. Pretty low water level this year.
