Well, after 7.5 months of waiting on my "pre-order", my Denver Outfitters, formally Titan, rod vault finally arrived. No less than 4 times was my promised delivery date missed, and I was just a few days from cancelling the order entirely and buying another product when it finally arrived. Do I like it? Well, yes, I suppose I do, but with that kind of service, it's more a feeling of relief, rather than satisfaction.
After the long wait, I was further disappointed by an annoyance with the reel case latch. It hangs up and takes a prying fingernail to open. Some graphite powder has made it functional (not perfect) and I'm hoping it will loosen with use. Shouldn't need that kind of tuning by the purchaser.
My buddy, who waited over 9 months for his vault, found it missing one rivet and had another needing replacement. He also seemed to be short on a stainless steel lock washer. Just not good.
So, buyer beware on this company. Their website now says guaranteed delivery in 60 days. My comment to that is, "...promises,promises..."

For ½ a grand I'd expect more

This might be a better option and certainly wouldn't require an 8 month wait. Plastic ammo box and pipe. Nice.
