Managed to spend a rare (for me) day at Lockport. North shore of floodway channel was alive with drum and a few sauger. Gear guys were getting loads of cats. Somebody else was fly fishing off the rock piles near the entrance and seemed to be slaying them in the evening. Was too far away to tell the species - drum or goldeye perhaps?

I believe that was me! I ended the night off with a staggering 9 cats, a few had to be MA's by the size of them (really gotta buy a measuring tape...), and ~40 Drum, with a small pike in the mix. I was moving a lot to find those cats to try to stay away from those pesky drum .
