I am a new member from Alberta. I have been to the Parklands once before and had a great time. I will be returning again this June and am really I looking forward to it. You folks have a top class fishery here! I have many years of fishing and fly fishing experience and over the last 8 years or so have concentrated on Stillwater trout fishing. I tie my own flies and have taught Beginner Fly Tying for 9.5 years at the Calgary Hook and Hackle Club. I did pretty well on my last trip to the Parklands but I know I have a lot to learn about your area. Any help from you folks will be greatly appreciated. I already know about FLIPPR and a local fly tyer by the name of Stu Thompson - I have a bunch of DDH Leeches ready for this June plus a bunch of Phil Rowley's flies recommended for the Parklands. Looking forward to another great trip. Tight lines, everyone,
DennisK

Mike, nice sturgeon on "Stu's fly". Looking forward to seeing you in June. I'll pass onto the boys that you may make it to the Parklands when we are there.
Stu, I'll post some pics of my version of DDH Leeches - I'd appreciate some critiques. I'll post a pic of my first blending attempt as well - I had not added enough black to dirty it to a brown color.

Greetings...keeping a close eye on some of the lake thaw conditions will be happy to report when ice out allows me to test some of my new patterns. May even have to take a day off!!!
