Took my 4 wt out to a spot on the Red this morning for some goldeye fun. Stopped counting, but at least two dozen goldeye, a 14" drum and a couple cats in the 16-17" range in just a couple hours. Loads of lightweight fun! If anyone's interested, just pm me for the how and where, and tune up your 3 or 4 wt. Lurkers need not apply.

Thanks, Rob. I don't mind sharing info with folks that do the same or contribute in other ways, but I have no intention of giving a heads-up to the white pail brigade.

Landed 7 carp today. And lost a big cat due to a conflict of interests between my backing knot and last rod guide (jam) . Lockport and undisclosed trib.

Wow, 7 carp? I haven't even landed that many all-time!

Wow, 7 carp? I haven't even landed that many all-time! Admittedly, I have probably tripled my all-time carp output in the last couple weeks. Saw some absolute pigs in the spillway on Saturday but could only get the 27-29" carp to bite. Bruce - now you got me thinking of taking me 3 wt. down to the creek I fish and try landing a ~25" carp. I don't mean to be secretive about the creek I fish in the city. But there are several creeks in the City and most should have carp in there, with the high water from the Red it is backing water into these tribs and the carp are loving them. All one needs to do is take a short drive to the creek closest to one's house and do some investigation.

What, you haven't broken enough rods yet this year?
