John stopped in at the fly shop this past weekend to do a demo. Here's the first installment of many to come patterns and what not on our new youtube channel.
Enjoy! (Watch it in 720p as it will be superb in quality.)

Thanks, Andy. so simple, yet so effective.
Looks like the jaws of that vise have seen a few hooks.

Thanks, Andy. so simple, yet so effective. Looks like the jaws of that vise have seen a few hooks. Oh my gawd, Bruce, I wish I knew exactly how many hooks had graced those jaws but I can tell you it is well over 10,000. For a very inexpensive vise those jaws have delighted me to no end. The demo at Robinson's in Victoria was a pleasure to do and our hosts, Matt King and Andy Larkin, had everything set up perfectly which made for a very comfortable environment. For the interest of Parkland visitors, Barry Stokes of Islander Reels was there and I asked him to give a testimonial of one of the feature chironomid patterns which his wife, Pauline, had amazing success with on their recent trip to the Parklands. The evening of her successful day people were scrambling to find burgundy and grey materials to tie the Guns and Roses pattern and Barry relayed the story perfectly.

Are you making a trip our way this year, John? I would think the effectiveness of the G&R pattern needs to be researched further.

Not looking like it Bruce. I was planning on a fall trip but when I was in BC I received a generous job offer that would bring me back to the industry I love so much and just waiting on details which would involve a trip to BC in the fall.

Congrats on the job offer! I guess a missed trip to Mb. is worth the price to land a job back in the industry. You'll just have to settle for mountain streams and alpine lakes instead.
