Went out for an hour this morning and just managed one goldeye. The water is getting pretty low and there was no evidence of rising/splashing fish. The current in the main channel on the other hand is starting to look manageable. I may have considered trying a bit but wall to wall people discouraged me.

Yeah, the spillway is about done. Was out last night, handful of goldeyes, nothing else. Was able to wade across near the mouth. Couple of carp rising, saw one hardware chucker catch a cat.

But the main channel is still not fishable?
What about wading out from the "point", and fishing the main current?

Maybe with some VERY cautious wading, although I didn't venture beyond the barrels, so can't say for certain. Flow in the main channel is pretty strong. You might be able to wade the mouth and fish the seam where it enters the river.

Okay, so the main current is still strong. That's good to know. Maybe I'll skip this week and see if there is some more fishable water next week.
