Was a decent evening. The rain stayed away and the fish were active. I got into the drum...HEAVILY! It was ridiculous. I actually had an audience for a bit cuz I was catching fish every cast. lol. I did manage one big drum at 26" but the rest were puny. I have no clue how many of the darn things I caught. I was so happy when I caught a 12" white bass! lol. Yay something that's not a drum! lol I got a bunch of goldeye too. They were in the main current and you just drift anything through the middle of the water column and you get whacked by goldeye. Later in the evening I got one cat. Wasn't huge but was a thick fish! Was in the 34" range. I got a couple smaller cats after sunset as well on black stonefly nymphs. I also got one carp this evening, a 33" sow! This thing was SO FAT! I had a little visitor as well tonight, a Little Yellow Sally Stonefly adult! I've seen the nymphs quite often when flipping over rocks but never have I seen an adult! Quick little bugger! There was a few caddis flying around but no real hatches going on that I could see. Nick
