Hey gang.
Well I'm now up to three completed, colour pieces. I made a pretty drastic change in style, this past year and I haven't looked back since!
To capture the image properly, these are professional printed on special paper using museum quality inks. These will never fade! They're 12 x 16 and will fit in a standard 16 x 20 or 20 x 24 frame, depending on the mat you choose. I'm working up to being able to offer frames as well, and at the moment this is just the prints.
The prints are limited to only 200, and the price has been set reasonable despite the low number. Each print is hand-numbered and signed. Price per print is $125.
"Rainbow Release"
Arguably one of the pound-for-pound, hardest fighting, freshwater fish - rainbow trout and steelhead are some of the most sought after gamefish by long rodders. When you hook one of these fish you can expect aerial leaps, fierce runs, and violent headshakes. When hooked in river currents you get to appreciate their power, aerodynamics and ability to move through the current effortlessly.
"Northern Exposure"
The summer of 2010 I was fortunate enough to visit one of the world’s best, wild brook trout fisheries, the God’s River, Manitoba. We witnessed brook trout in excess of 8lbs, cruising in the gin clear waters of the God’s. It was awe-inspiring to see wild trout thriving in an untouched and unforgiving environment. This drawing aims to depict the beauty of the brook trout and place it in the natural setting in which they thrive.
"Hookjaw on the Move"
Brown trout are my favorite trout, hands down. Their wariness, their smarts, their aggression, and their unique coloration, all add up to make browns a formidable adversary, even for the most adept fly anglers. Just when you think you have them pegged, they change their minds.
I wanted to do a piece that encompassed the beauty but in a unique setting. Not just a fish, but a snapshot in time, as if you were to come face-to-face in the brown's domain. It was a great challenge for me and I learned some new techniques along the way!
Thanks for taking a gander. Message me for more details.
