Too beaudacious to sit inside (or stay in the city today) .... had to get out .............. Also saw a lot of these crtters Even had a chance to catch this guy picking up his lunch and chawing down on it ............. Lots less snow since last weekend. A LOT LESS. Although a lot more standing water ... not much flowing yet. Although, this guy sure was Went to pick up lunch But the menu moved too fast .............. Ohhhh 'm gettting Itchy ... ;D

Thanks for the update Itchy. Open water + Exam Period = not a good situation Im bouncing off the walls now..focus... For my own sake, I hope no one posts a picutre of a trout before April 21st or I am going to loose it. April 22nd first Whiteshell River/(McHugh Lake?) trip of the year

I am new to all of this - please let me know what the rules are for fishing the whiteshell or other rivers - does it follow the same opening / closing as general fishing season and what are those dates and by the way - great photos !!

i'm sorry, this is the thread... the best way to learn is to read it yourself...you get a copy of the angling guide when yuo buy your licence, you should anyways...you can find a copy of the regs online on the government of manitoba website, manitoba Water Stewardship Dept, Fisheries Branch
