Been watching the floodway the last couple of days. The river is weird high right now, and the floodway is so full you barely can see the top of pelican island. With the river flows as they are, and the need for the greenbacks to rest, it could be an interesting fall in the floodway this year. Will have to check it out.

Went out there today and nada!!!! Saw a couple of fish surface and that was it. The water is so stained that you can only see your fly about an inch down. I talked to one guy and he said there were a couple of big Greenbacks taken at the mouth of the floodway. It has been a terrible year for me out there this year. As always there is next year.
