I switched out my fly line this year and went for Sharkskin. So I have a spool of precision pike that I barely used last year. The line is practically brand new. If you want a decent floating line for tossing big wind resistant flies, this is a good one. The front section is bright red with a pale green running line. www.cortlandline.com/products/default.asp?id=79[glow=red,2,300]$20[/glow] and it's yours.

From your experience does the pike line perform that much better than a standard line when tossing large flies?

It definitely turns big flies over. I've never really used "cheap" line so it's pretty decent. I used it for tossing big deerhair baits and it performed pretty well. I switched to Sharkskin though and you just can't compare the two.

Well I was looking into buying that line before, so I would be interested in buying that from you Nick. As for picking it up maybe I'll meet you on the water...
