I've read some reviews and I can personally say they don't do this line justice. I ended up caving and buying this line for two rods. I used them in 2009 and absolutely love it.
+It floats incredibly high and picks up so easy for re-casting. Truly tough to beat in this category!
+Is very easy to cast and is effortless compared to other lines.
+It is not waxy or sticky like some lines. It feels dry to the touch and is easy to mend, strip, and shoot line.
+The welded loop is very clean and is not bulky at all. It makes switching leaders very quick and hassle free.
-The only minuses I've had is it's noisy through the rod. Because of its microtexturing it makes a rubbing sound on the guides. Besides this, the line is close to perfect.
This will be the second season using this line and I cleaned it this winter and checked for nicks and abrasion. It looks new.
I have the 5-weight model and the 8-weight models.

I agree with everything you said. I just got a 6wt Magnum taper a few weeks ago. Love the line on my Admunson Wind Warrior. The only complaint is the noise running threw the guides. I used it on a flow and changed lines after 45 minutes of casting every few minutes. But it will be my new croni line this year. Sits high and picks up well as you mentioned.

I also have this line. I've used it as my main floating line for 2 seasons now and this fall it 'started to sink'. I'm guessing it's because it needs a good cleaning which I'm going to do this winter. It is noisy, and my next line won't be a sharkskin because of this, but subtract the irritation of the noise and the line is a real 'keeper'. If you use it for chronies(like I do) the it's really not that bad. It floats very well.

I use the GPX series for my 6wt set up. It absolutely is the best floating line I have used. Floats high and long and really shoots out there. It is an over weighted line working well with faster type rods but can see this on a wide range of rods. Great product that I would buy again.

I had a gpx on my 4 wt and wasn't all that happy with it. It seemed to get dirty/sticky very quickly, which made it difficult to cast. I agree though, when it was clean, it was a nice-casting line.
I have Rio lines on my heavier sticks and am very happy with them. I think I'll get either a Rio or an Airflo for the 4 wt.

I had a Sharkskin line on my 4 wt and honestly wasn't enamoured with the performance. To me, it felt too light and didn't seem to load the rod well (St. Croix Imperial). I now have a faster action 4 wt rod and would like to try the Sharkskin on it, but I already gave the line away.
