Hey all
I'm new to the board, but not exactly a newbie as far as fly fishing goes.
I've been throwing a line for some 30+ yrs. Haven't been as active at it for a while (doing more worm-drowning and hardware tossing), but I'm starting to get the itch to get back at it more often.
To that end, I've recently retired my old 8 wt Fenwick glass rod with a cheapo graphite and am now in the process of putting together a nice, light 4/5 wt package.
Most of my fly rodding has been at stocked ponds and for goldeye in the Winnipeg River. I have, however, done some ff'ing for salmon and trout in the Maritimes and Nfld. and for native browns in the Black Hills S.D.
I also used to get up to the Flin Flon a couple of times every year and hit some of the stocked lakes up there, along with the occasional trip to the Duck Mountains.
I tie all of my own flies, so this winter I plan to do a good bit of that, re-stocking my and my wife's supply.
Hope to meet some of you personally on the water in the future.
cheers
Bruce

Welcome Bruce, glad you are here. Most of the guys here are really old, cranky, and full of hot air ( members of the OFC) but other than that they are OK. You may want to bring the 8 wt. out of retirement and try some Cats and Carp in the coming year. I am looking forward to your posts.
