Got a new springer pup about 7 months ago and of course spent some time training him. Finally took him on his first hunt this past weekend and was I impressed. Not with my training of him but with his insticnts. He retrieved 4 ducks, 1 land and 3 water, and flushed 4 grouse. Now if only I could learn to shoot he would have had a lot more work. It was a great weekend.

Get him to point out trout, blow up float tubes and teach him to whip finish; you will have a million dollar hound.

Hey Stu:
Ain't Springers grand? As a fellow springer owner, it's hard to imagine hunting without one. When they find a bird that you would have had no chance of locating....priceless!...TIM

I think I'll look for Brents float tube to try out my dog's retrieving abilities!!!!! Can't wait to get him out again. Once I get the picture downloaded I'll post it. Springers are a great dogs Tim. My last one was 16 years old and she got her share of birds. Never thought I would have another dog that was better but this pup is amazing. Now if I could teach him how to retrieve fish I would have it made.
