Hi, I will be visiting Winnipeg, staying in the Charleswood area of the city and wonder if anyone on the board has ever fished the Red river there? if so is it worth giving it a try with the fly rod? where can I get access to the river? a car might not always be available to me, so are there other fishable spots on the river that I can reach by public transit, thanks. tight lines, weegie

The Assiniboine has plaenty of access. The water is always brown so step carefully but this time of year the water is low and riffles and other wade/fishing areas are easy to spot.

Did you notice if there is a decent flow along the reef on the east side? ...TIM
