Well my brother wants to go to lockport for some cats on his casting equipment was wondering what flies should i use what kin do retrieve that sort of thing(i really wanna out fish him with my fly rod ;D)

Hope I'm not to late for this. Leader should be about 6 ft. of 15-17 lb. test. No need to get fancy, fish don't care. As for flies the best producing is a brown DDH Leech followed by wooly buggers, clouser minnows, and a few nymphs. That should get you into fish.

you are a little late a day or so . anyways i went fished a little nymphy thingy got nothing tried a brown ddh nothing. That isn't that part that got me mad there was this little island thingy these pelicans were standing on and i knew if i had waders i might of gotten there and it would of been nice since the current looked pretty nice on the other side *sigh* oh well gunna havta try agian

fly fishing in general and the Red in particular is hard w/o waders.
(And in general I don't know why so many Red fishers won't wear even some Wellies. I mean we have seen pics on the other sites with big cats that look like they have been coated in shake and bake because some oen dragged the fish on shore and couldn't deal with it)
