Sons John and Jeremy took me fishing on Thursday to Brereton Lake in Manitoba's Whiteshell. Haven't done a lot of fishing lately due to health issues but had a great day on the water catching some nice walleye. But the surprise of the day was latching on to this black crappie which, at 12 and 1/4 inch, just qualified it under the standard for Manitoba's Master Angler program. Not only the first Master crappie for this, uh, "seasoned" angler, but the first black crappie ever for me. All in all, a super day - thanks again boys!!!
